  1. PKZ204C.EXE Should be OK                                  1/4/92

  4. PKZ204C.EXE was posted on our BBS on the night of 1/4/92.  It came
  5. directly from the PKWARE support BBS without being modified.  A few
  6. of our users have reported that after self-extracting the files from
  7. within PKZ204C.EXE they are getting a virus alert from the 
  8. Norton AntiVirus package on the following files:
  9. PKUNZIP.EXE   28,806 12-28-92 2:04a
  10. PKZIPFIX.EXE   7,672 12-28-92 2:04a

  12. In my personal opinion this is a false virus alert since the file came
  13. directly from the PKWARE support BBS.

  15. At the present time, we are keeping PKZ204C.EXE posted on the
  16. Exec-PC BBS dated 1/4/92, file size 188,818.

  18. We intend to use the 204C version for compression of files on the BBS
  19. after it has been in use in the marketplace for at least a month.
